About Ameena Langford

Attorney at Law

My journey to this profession wasn’t traditional—I spent over 20 years as a tax professional and business manager before pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer. That experience shapes how I practice law today: with a sharp eye for detail, a deep respect for financial clarity and real-life concerns, and a commitment to making complex legal matters approachable and empowering for every client.

I was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and adopted as an infant by my parents, John and Marie Shack. I grew up right here in Woburn, attending St. Charles Grammar School and Arlington Catholic—just like my father. Though I’ve lived in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas, Massachusetts has always been home.

I earned my undergraduate degree cum laude from UMass Lowell and graduated summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. I am licensed to practice in Massachusetts. My practice focuses on estate planning and elder law—areas where I combine my legal training and decades of financial experience to help families protect what matters most.

As a parent to a neurodivergent child, I also offer services in special education law. It’s personal for me. I know firsthand the stress families face when trying to secure the right support for their children, and I want to be a resource for others walking that path.

Outside of work, I’ve been married to my husband, Nicholas, for over 22 years. We have three daughters—Kayla, Arianna, and Giada—and two grandsons. Whether I’m exploring a new location, reading a good book in a tropical paradise, or planning our next big family adventure, I carry my love of learning and community with me in everything I do.

My law practice was born out of a simple but powerful belief: legal help should be practical, personalized, and delivered with integrity. My clients range from families preparing for the future to individuals navigating life transitions such as divorce or real estate sales.

In every case, my goal remains the same: to provide clear answers, sound advice, and a plan that works for you. I know firsthand how important it is to feel heard and supported when making legal decisions.

When you work with me, you’re not just hiring a lawyer—you’re gaining a trusted advisor who sees the whole picture. Let’s make a plan that gives you peace of mind.
